Breaking the Bad Habits

Well the year has kicked off and school hasn't, so I find myself with a lot of free time...too much that I am getting lazy. I need a pick-me-up.

The Year of Preparation

The end of the world talk is in the rise because of the fateful date of December 21^st, 2012. It seems strange that this year has been so highly anticipated because of a doomsday prediction from our ancient ancestors. The thing I have taken from the concept of something happening is that I need to be prepared.

I looked around my home and figured that if worst came to worst I would be incapable of getting my family in a safe way. Food for several days if cut off from stores, water, first aid supplies, anything we could need. This was about the same time I was taking a grip on my finances and noticed I needed to save for my future. 2012 isn’t the last year on Earth I have many more to be prepared for.

I have figured I would try my hand at the blog again. I hope I can get people’s heads in the ‘preparedness mood’. Get some good ideas of how to get prepared for any situation, end of the world or day to day family life.
